Join Webflow's affiliate program

A collection of guides to help you navigate the affiliate program.

We’re transitioning to a new UI, and are in the process of updating our Webflow University content.

The Webflow affiliate program is designed for influencers, educators, bloggers, and others to get paid for the designers and developers they refer to Webflow. Affiliates get paid a 50% commission on all subscription payments for 12 months – for every customer they refer to Webflow.

At the moment, you’ll need a PayPal or Stripe account to receive affiliate payments. Read more about getting paid.

In this guide, you’ll learn about:

How to get started

You can apply to the program by visiting affiliates.webflow.com.

Once you’re approved for the Webflow affiliate program, you’ll be able to log in to your affiliate dashboard. The affiliate dashboard is where you can find information about your affiliate link, the traffic and conversions you’re generating through your affiliate link, and the payments you receive through the affiliate program. This documentation will help you better understand and successfully navigate the affiliate dashboard.

In this section, we cover:

Affiliate referral link

Once you’ve logged into your affiliate dashboard, you’ll see your affiliate link on the left side of the page. This link is unique to your affiliate account and directs people who click on it to webflow.com. Those who click on it and visit Webflow, and have not visited Webflow previously will be tagged as referred by you. This tag will last for 90 days – the cookie window.

A standard affiliate referral link looks like this: https://webflow.grsm.io/[UNIQUE_ID]

The 90-day cookie window

Your affiliate referral link has a 90-day tracking cookie. That means that any person who clicks on your affiliate link, who has not visited Webflow previously, will be tagged as referred by you with a tracking cookie. From the moment they are tagged, you will be commissioned for all subscriptions made until that cookie window expires on day 90. The subscriptions made within those 90 days will be paid out for the defined 12 months, or until those subscriptions are canceled. (View information about the 90-day window)

The affiliate link builder

You can create affiliate links to any page on webflow.com or university.webflow.com using the link builder in your affiliate dashboard.

Click on Links within the affiliate dashboard:

The Links area shows a default link in the Webflow affiliate dashboard.

The most effective way to build links is to set up Dynamic Referral Links

  1. Click on Links in the left-hand side menu in your dashboard:
Click on Links in the left-hand side menu in your Webflow affiliate dashboard to define a dynamic link template.
  1. Define a dynamic link template by making your own dynamic variables using open brackets {}

For example, let's link to a blog article on Webflow:

There are 2 subdirectories after the main URL https://webflow.com

  • Subdirectory 1: blog
  • Subdirectory 2: saas-website-design-examples

We’ll create a custom referral link URL which will use the base of our dynamic link template (e.g., https://webflow.grsm.io/nathanallotey-7113-bloglinks)

  1. Enter a dynamic URL template in the Redirects to (optional) field (e.g., https://webflow.com/{nate-sub1}/{nate-sub2}
  2. Click Create to save your dynamic URL template
Create a custom referral link in your Webflow affiliate dashboard.

Our goal is to link to a blog article page:

To link to this page using your affiliate dynamic URL template you would use:

When users click this link they will be:

  • Directed to https://webflow.com/blog/saas-website-design-examples
  • Tracked as an affiliate link referral

Affiliate commission

The commission for affiliates is 50% of subscription payments for the first 12 months – for each subscription within the cookie window, or until the subscription(s) is canceled. Each time a customer you referred subscribes to a Workspace or site plan, a Webflow team member will review the conversion, and once approved, you’ll receive an email confirmation.

Getting paid

In order to get paid as an affiliate, you’ll need to have a PayPal or Stripe account. Enter the email associated with your PayPal or Stripe account in the payment settings of your affiliate account. You can expect to receive payments by the 15th of each month.

If you did not receive a payment that you believe you should have, please contact Webflow through your PartnerStack account.
