Downgrade or cancel your Workspace plan
Learn how to downgrade or cancel your Workspace plan.
We’re transitioning to a new UI, and are in the process of updating our Webflow University content.
How to prepare to downgrade your Workspace plan
Depending on the number of seats and members in your current Workspace, you may need to prepare your Workspace before you can downgrade your Workspace plan. If necessary, you’ll be prompted to remove team members and pending member invites to fit your new plan limits when you downgrade your site.
How to downgrade to a lower paid Workspace plan
First, open the Workspace you’d like to downgrade. Then:
- Click Plans in the left sidebar
- Click Downgrade under the Workspace plan that fits your needs (from either the For in-house teams tab or the For freelancers & agencies tab)
- Select or type in the reason(s) you’re downgrading your plan
- Click Downgrade plan
- Adjust the number of seats on your plan to fit your new plan limits (you may be prompted to remove team members and pending member invites before you’re able to downgrade)
- Remove any unhosted sites from your Dashboard that don’t fit within your new plan limits
- Choose your plan’s billing frequency (i.e., yearly or monthly)
- Click Pay now to downgrade to the lower plan (your total due will be indicated on the Pay now button)
How to downgrade to the Starter Workspace plan
Downgrading to the Starter Workspace plan effectively cancels your paid Workspace plan.
Good to know: Only one Starter Workspace is allowed per user. If you’d like to downgrade a paid Workspace plan to a Starter Workspace and already have one Starter Workspace, you’ll need to archive your existing Starter Workspace before you can downgrade.
First, open the Workspace you’d like to downgrade. Then:
- Click Plans in the left sidebar
- Click Downgrade to Starter under the Starter Workspace plan
- Adjust the number of seats on your plan to fit your new plan limits (you may be prompted to remove team members and pending member invites before you’re able to downgrade)
- Remove any unhosted sites from your Dashboard that don’t fit within your new plan limits (e.g., you can have up to two unhosted sites on the Starter Workspace plan)
- Select the reason(s) you’re downgrading your plan
- Type “DOWNGRADE” in all caps
- Click Downgrade plan to confirm
