FAQs

Will I get to keep my existing limits on plans purchased before July 15?

At this time, any Site plans purchased before July 15th, 2024 will continue to operate under their legacy entitlements and limits (including bandwidth) unless the plans are altered as outlined below:

Scenarios where a site is subject to new 2024 plan benefits and limits include:

  • a new Site plan is purchased
  • an existing Site plan is canceled
  • an existing Site plan is upgraded or downgraded
  • an existing Site plan’s bandwidth limits are exceeded consecutively over two months (see Surge protection and auto-upgrades)
  • an existing site plan is canceled and the site transferred to another workspace

Scenarios where a site will remain on legacy plan benefits and limits include:

  • an existing Site plan’s billing frequency is changed between monthly billing or annual billing
  • an existing Site plan is transferred to another site in the same workspace
  • editing or adding an add-on on existing site plans (Localization only)
Important: If you are a service provider, a Webflow Partner, or have pre-existing plan arrangements from 2016-2022, you should have received an email detailing how the new limits affect your existing sites. If you did not receive this email, please contact Support.

Which of the new enhancements are available on my existing plans?

The following enhancements are available for all customers, effective immediately on all plans (purchased before or after July 15th):

The following changes are only available on Site plans that you purchase, upgrade, or downgrade — as well as sites that you transfer or that exceed limitson or after July 15, 2024

Starter Site plan

  • Fields per Collection: 30 increased to 60

How can a site get access to the new July 2024 plans?

  • By purchasing a new Site plan
  • By upgrading an existing Site plan
  • By downgrading an existing Site plan
  • By exceeding the Site plan’s bandwidth limits consecutively over two months (see surge protection and auto-upgrades)
Important: Manually upgrading your legacy plan to get the new plan entitlements will remove all legacy entitlements (including legacy bandwidth limits).

Is the bandwidth from my site in Made in Webflow counted towards my usage limits?

No, the bandwidth from Made in Webflow is not counted towards your site's usage limits.

What does transferring a plan mean for keeping my legacy plan?

Site transfers between Workspaces

If you are transferring a site between Workspaces, any active Site plans on the site must be canceled before transfer. Legacy plan benefits will no longer be available for that site.

Site plan transfers between sites in the same Workspace

If you are transferring a Site plan between sites in the same Workspace, the Site plan will be unaffected and will remain on the legacy plan benefits.

How do surge protection and auto-upgrades work?

You should have received an email with details on when bandwidth limit enforcement will begin for your account. Additionally, You'll receive notifications as your site nears, reaches, and exceeds its plan limits before incurring additional charges.

If your site is on a Basic, CMS, or Business Site plan, it will receive complimentary surge protection. This means you won’t be billed for any overages the first month your site exceeds its bandwidth limit. Sites that exceed their bandwidth limits for a second consecutive month will be automatically upgraded to the plan with the appropriate usage allotment at the end of that second month.

If you’re already on a Business Site plan and you exceed your bandwidth for two consecutive months, you’ll be auto-upgraded with add-ons. If you’re on a Business Site plan, you can also purchase add-ons before you are auto-upgraded.  Note that this only applies to Business Site plans that you purchase, upgrade, downgrade, transfer (i.e., transferring your site between Workspaces), or that exceed limits on or after July 15, 2024.

If optimizing assets isn’t enough to bring your usage down and you anticipate needing higher bandwidth limits, please reach out to our Enterprise team to discuss transitioning your site to our Enterprise hosting plan, which offers custom bandwidth and traffic support.

Bandwidth limits will not apply to Ecommerce plans at this time.

Important: If you are a service provider, a Webflow Partner, or have pre-existing plan arrangements from 2016-2022, you should have received an email detailing how surge protection applies to your specific plans. If you did not receive this email, please contact Support.
