Manage Localization add-on plans

Learn how to upgrade your site with a Localization add-on plan.

We’re transitioning to a new UI, and are in the process of updating our Webflow University content.

Add-on plans are optional additions to Site plans, which extend the capabilities of your site. Localization add-on plans let you publish your site to a secondary locale and add additional locales to your site.

How to purchase a Localization add-on plan

Note: You must already have a Basic, CMS, Business, or Enterprise Site plan to purchase a Localization add-on plan. Localization add-on plans are not available on Ecommerce Site plans.

To purchase a Localization add-on plan: 

  1. Go to Site settings > Plans tab > Add-ons tab
  2. Click Manage
  3. Choose the Localization add-on plan you want (i.e., Essential or Advanced)
  4. Use the Locales dropdown to choose the total number of locales you want on your site
  5. Click Pay now to immediately charge the card on file
Note: Billing cycles for Localization add-on plans are determined by the billing cycle of your Site plan. For example, if your Site plan has a monthly billing cycle, your Localization add-on plan will also be billed monthly.

How to add locales to a Localization add-on plan

Localization add-on plans are charged per locale. The number of locales you’re able to add depends on your Localization add-on plan (i.e., Essential or Advanced), so you may need to upgrade your Localization add-on plan before purchasing additional locales.

To add additional locales to a Localization add-on plan: 

  1. Go to Site settings > Plans tab > Add-ons tab
  2. Click Manage
  3. Click Manage locales under your current Localization add-on plan
  4. Use the Locales dropdown to choose the total number of locales you want on your site 
  5. Click Pay now to immediately charge the card on file

How to remove locales from a Localization add-on plan

Localization add-on plans are charged per locale. You may wish to decrease the number of locales on your site and remove those locales from your add-on plan. The number of locales you’re able to add depends on your Localization add-on plan (i.e., Essential or Advanced), so you may also wish to downgrade your Localization add-on plan after removing locales. 

Important: Secondary locales must be removed from your site in the Designer before they can be removed from the Localization add-on plan. To remove secondary locales from your site, go to Settings panel > Localization, click the locale(s) you want to remove, and click the “trash” icon.

To remove locales from a Localization add-on plan: 

  1. Go to Site settings > Plans tab > Add-ons tab
  2. Click Manage
  3. Click Manage locales under your current Localization add-on plan (i.e., Essential or Advanced)
  4. Use the Locales dropdown to choose the total number of locales you want on your site 
  5. Click Pay now to immediately charge the card on file

How to upgrade a Localization add-on plan

To upgrade a Localization add-on plan from Essential to Advanced: 

  1. Go to Site settings > Plans tab > Add-ons tab
  2. Click Manage
  3. Click Upgrade to Advanced under the Advanced plan
  4. (Optional) Use the Locales dropdown to add more locales to your site
  5. Click Pay now to immediately charge the card on file

How to downgrade a Localization add-on plan

To downgrade a Localization add-on plan from Advanced to Essential: 

  1. Go to Site settings > Plans tab > Add-ons tab
  2. Click Manage
  3. Click Downgrade to Essential under the Essential plan
  4. (Optional) Use the Locales dropdown to remove locales from your site
  5. Click Pay now to immediately charge the card on file

How to cancel a Localization add-on plan

You can cancel a Localization add-on plan by reducing the number of locales on the add-on plan to zero. 

Important: Secondary locales must be removed from your site in the Designer before they can be removed from the Localization add-on plan. To remove secondary locales from your site, go to Settings panel > Localization, click the locale(s) you want to remove, and click the “trash” icon.

To cancel a Localization add-on plan: 

  1. Go to Site settings > Plans tab > Add-ons tab
  2. Click Manage
  3. Click Manage locales under your current Localization add-on plan (i.e., Essential or Advanced)
  4. Choose 0 from the Locales dropdown
  5. Click Confirm to immediately cancel your Localization add-on plan
Note: Webflow prorates plan changes (i.e., upgrades, downgrades, or billing frequency switches) based on your existing balance, credits, and how many days you have remaining in your billing cycle. Your prorated charge and credits appear at checkout. Learn more about proration and refunds.
