Collaboration in Webflow starts with a system

Webflow gives teams the tools to work together, but tools alone don't make collaboration work. The way you assign roles, set up guardrails, and design workflows determines whether your team moves with confidence or runs into friction.

This course is about building that system.

Who this course is for

This course is designed for people who are responsible for how teams work in Webflow — and for anyone who wants to understand the bigger picture.

If you're a site strategist, workspace admin, site manager, or design or marketing lead, this course will help you make informed decisions about how to structure your team and your workflows.

If you're a Designer, Marketer, Content editor, or Reviewer, this course will give you context for how your role fits into the collaboration system — and why things are set up the way they are.

What you’ll learn

This course focuses on three primary topics:

  1. Roles & permissions
  2. Guardrails
  3. Workflows

You'll learn how seats and permissions work, how Designers can set up systems that let Marketers and Content editors move quickly and safely, and how to establish feedback, review, and publishing workflows that reduce risk.

By the end of this course, you'll be able to:

  • Assign the right roles and permissions to each team member
  • Enable Designers to create safe, scalable workflows
  • Help Marketers and Content editors work independently within guardrails
  • Establish feedback, review, and publishing workflows that reduce risk
  • Recognize and avoid common collaboration pitfalls

A note on Enterprise features

Some features covered in this course are only available on Enterprise plans. These are clearly marked throughout with a callout box like this:

Enterprise feature: This feature is available on Enterprise plans. See our pricing page to learn more about our plans.

If you're not on an Enterprise plan, you'll still get value from understanding how these features work. They reinforce the same principles of safe, controlled collaboration that apply to every team.
