Recap & additional resources
A simple publishing framework
Publishing in Webflow is less about finding one “right” workflow and more about choosing the right path for the work in front of you.
When you’re deciding what to do next, ask four questions:
What’s ready to go live?
Is it the whole site, one page, or a CMS item?
Does anything need to stay separate?
Use drafts or branches when unfinished work shouldn’t move forward yet.
Where should the change be reviewed?
Use staging when your team needs to test or approve changes before production.
Who should be able to publish it?
Use roles and permissions to give people — and connected agents — only the access they need.
Those four questions cover most publishing decisions you’ll make day to day.
Keep the checklist handy
For major launches and larger full-site publishes, return to the Build & launch checklist.
Use it as a shared source of truth for setup, build, QA, and launch readiness.
