Guest role makes it easier to collaborate — clearly, efficiently, and with full confidence on both sides.
Now you can request access to your client's Workspace directly from your Webflow dashboard, manage permissions for your team, and work on your client’s sites — all without transferring sites or compromising oversight.
In this video, we walk through how your agency can:
- Request guest access to any client Workspace
- Assign roles and permissions to your team members
- Accept secure invites from clients when needed
- Offboard cleanly when the engagement ends
For clients, Guest role provides full control and transparency. Clients decide who gets access, what they can do, and which sites they can see — without ever handing over passwords or ownership.
Guest role allows you to invite collaborators to your Workspace who only need access to specific sites, not your entire Workspace. Instead of making someone a full Workspace member, you can invite a Guest and grant access to one or more sites.
Guests are billed differently than Workspace members. While Workspace members require a paid seat, guests are free to add, though they'll need to be on a site plan that supports guest access. You can check what's included in each plan on the Webflow pricing page.
To add a Guest, go to Workspace settings and select Members. Here you can choose to invite a Member or a Guest. To invite a Guest, enter their email address and then select which sites you'd like them to access. You can also select their role for each site, such as Editor or Admin. Once invited, the Guest will receive an email to accept the invitation.
That's a quick overview of Guests in Webflow. For more details about how Guests work and what's available on each plan, check out the Webflow Help Center.
