Citation rate

Citation rate

Citation rate is the share of AI answers to a set of prompts that cite your site as a source.

It is a core AEO metric. If you track 50 prompts and answer engines link to your pages in 10 of the answers, your citation rate is 20%. Webflow AEO Analytics reports citation rate by topic or by prompt, plus the most-cited domains and competitor citations.
