Welcome to Webflow. Whether you're new to building websites or coming from another tool, this video gives you a quick sense of what Webflow is and what you can do with it.

Webflow is a visual web development platform. That means you can design and build websites visually — without writing code — while Webflow generates clean, production-ready HTML, CSS, and JavaScript behind the scenes. For those who do want to write code, Webflow supports custom code at the site, page, and element level.

The platform has a few main parts. The Designer is where you build — it's a canvas-based interface where you add elements, style them, and set up interactions. The CMS lets you manage dynamic content like blog posts, team members, or any structured content that repeats across your site. The Editor is a simplified interface for content editors who need to update text and images without touching the design. And the Dashboard is where you manage all your sites and workspaces.

Webflow is used by a wide range of people — freelancers building client sites, marketing teams creating landing pages, startups building their web presence, and enterprise teams managing complex content-driven sites. What ties them together is wanting control over design without being limited by templates, and wanting professional output without a full development team.

If you're just getting started, the best way to learn is to build something. The lessons in Webflow University are designed to teach you concepts while you apply them, so you walk away with real skills and something to show for it.
