Translation memory

Translation memory

Translation memory is a database of previously translated text that gets reused when the same source text appears again. Matching segments are pulled from storage instead of retranslated, which saves time and cost and keeps wording consistent across pages and languages.

Webflow applies translation memory automatically with agentic translation, reusing an existing translation when the source text, language, and settings are unchanged. That way continuous translation doesn't spend words on content that hasn't changed, and there's nothing to set up. It's one piece of keeping a localization workflow efficient.
