Hey everyone. This is Grimur. BEFORE you go into this part of the course, I want to make you aware of some of the improvements and new features in Webflow that have CHANGED since we made this course. There are four quick notes I want to share with you to make sure you have the latest:

First, you’ll see we shipped NEW elements to build with in Webflow. The first is called “Quick stack”, so if you’re following along with this course and you’re looking for Grid, you’ll now find it at the BOTTOM of the Add panel (in Other). You can use quick stack and learn more about it (we actually added a lesson to the END of this course so you can cover that as well.) But that’s the first change.

Second, in this course, you’ll see us refer to Symbols (these are reusable components for things like navigation). So you’ll notice we’ve renamed those Symbols…….. “Components”. That’s the second thing.

Third, you may notice two OTHER new elements: V flex and H flex. (By the way, flex is short for “flexbox” — and it’s an industry standard on the web.) Now, we’ll teach flexbox in this course, and these two elements are just shortcuts that let you quickly access those controls.

And finally, fourth, you'll see the top bar looks quite different, but ALL the functionalities are still there. For example, to go into preview mode (to preview what your site would look like without the Designer controls), you'll want to click this play icon located on the top right corner. And your undo and redo buttons are here in the dropdown menu. OR you can use shortcuts. Command Z on Mac or Control Z on Windows to undo... And Command Shift Z on Mac or Control Shift Z on Windows to REDO.

But that’s a quick overview of some of the things to be aware of…that have changed and have improved since we launched this course. Thank you.
