Getting started with Webflow is easier than it might seem at first. Whether you're a designer, developer, marketer, or just someone who wants to build a website, Webflow gives you a visual environment that generates real, production-quality code.

The first thing to do is create a Webflow account at webflow.com. You can start for free, which gives you access to the Designer and lets you build and host a basic site on a Webflow subdomain.

Once you're in, you'll land on the Dashboard. This is where all your projects live. You can create a new site from scratch or start from a template. If you're brand new, starting from a template can help you see how a real site is structured before you start building your own.

From the Dashboard, you can open any site in the Designer — the main environment where you build. The Designer has a canvas in the center, panels on the left for adding and organizing elements, and the Style panel on the right for controlling how things look.

The best way to learn Webflow is to build something. Start simple — a landing page, a personal portfolio, a blog. As you work through real problems, the concepts start to click. Webflow University is here to help you along the way, with videos and courses covering everything from the basics to advanced techniques.

Take your time, experiment freely, and don't worry about making mistakes — you can always undo or start over.
