Video transcript

In this video, we'll walk through how to build, manage, and publish CMS content in Webflow. The CMS is one of the most powerful parts of Webflow, and understanding how to work with it efficiently will save you a lot of time.

Building CMS content starts with setting up your Collection. A Collection is a structured content type — think blog posts, team members, products, case studies. Each Collection has fields you define, like a title, a rich text body, an image, a date, or a category. Once your Collection is set up, you start adding items.

You can add items manually from the CMS panel, or import them in bulk via CSV. The CSV import is especially useful when you have a lot of existing content to bring in at once. Just make sure your CSV columns match your Collection field slugs.

Managing your content means keeping your items organized and up to date. You can filter, sort, and search within a Collection to find specific items. Draft items won't appear on your published site, so you can work on content before it's ready to go live. You can also archive items you don't need anymore without deleting them permanently.

Publishing CMS content is straightforward — when an item is set to staged for publish, it goes live the next time you publish your site. You can also unpublish individual items by setting them back to draft.

One thing to keep in mind: CMS changes and design changes are published together when you hit Publish. So if you've made both content and design updates, they'll both go live at the same time.

That's a quick overview of building, managing, and publishing CMS content in Webflow. The more you work with it, the more natural it becomes.
