Connect a custom domain in Webflow is one of the final steps before launching your site publicly. Instead of being accessible only on a Webflow subdomain (like yoursite.webflow.io), you can connect a domain you own so your site is accessible at yoursite.com or whatever domain you've registered.
To connect a custom domain, go to your site settings and navigate to the Publishing section. Click Add Custom Domain and enter your domain. Webflow will give you DNS records — typically an A record and a CNAME record — that you need to add in your domain registrar's DNS settings.
Once you've added the DNS records, Webflow needs to verify that they've propagated. This typically takes anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours, depending on your registrar and previous DNS settings. After verification, you can publish to your custom domain and your site will be live at that address.
Webflow also handles SSL certificates automatically for custom domains, so your site will be served over HTTPS without any additional setup on your part.
