Invite collaborators to edit site content in the Webflow Editor.
Note: We're transitioning to Workspaces, and are in the process of updating our content. Visit the blog post to read more about these updates and changes.
When you set up a CMS site plan or higher, you get free access to the Editor of that site. You can also invite collaborators (content editors or store staff) and give them permission to edit a project's content (text, links, images, CMS, products) through the Editor.
If you're on a Team plan, all members of your team can access the Editor on any website within your team.
If you add a CMS Site plan to your Team project, you can invite up to 3 collaborators to your project.
If you add a Business Site plan to your Team project, you can invite up to 10 collaborators to your project.
Additional collaborators may be added to any Business Site plan at $6 per month, per person.
You can add collaborators to a project in your Project's Editor settings. You can access these settings from within the Designer or from your Project settings.
When you're in the Designer of a project, you can access the collaborators settings from the "share" menu in the top toolbar.
From the project settings of the site you want to invite Collaborators to, go to the Editor tab, and click the plus button to add a new Collaborator. Enter the person's email address in the Collaborators field, and click Invite.
Your new collaborator will need to accept the invitation using the link they receive in the confirmation email.
If you are using Webflow CMS with whitelabeling turned on, then your content editors will not get an email from Webflow. Instead you will provide them with a direct link.
After following the confirmation link in the email, Collaborators need to create an Editor account by setting up a username and password in order to login to your site's CMS.
Note: Passwords must be a minimum of 10 characters and should include 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter, and 1 number.
Collaborators can access the Editor by adding `?edit` to the end of the site’s URL (i.e. “www.your-site.com/?edit”) Then they can log in and access the Editor by clicking the "Edit site" button at the bottom right of the browser.
The Editor account is separate from your Webflow account. As a site owner, you can't access the Editor by logging in through the Editor. You'll need to access it through your Dashboard, project settings, or designer.
Grab the template and videos linked below to help your clients get up to speed with the Editor quickly and easily.
